SIA Package PTLLS, 2886 & Physical Training Instructor – eight-day course


Who is this course for?

This SIA package contains three different courses and awards. The first is the PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) which is for anyone who desires to teach to one or more individuals whether it is delivered in a classroom or at a business premises. It is a required qualification that allows you to pass the necessary regulation to teach. The package also includes the City and Guilds 2886 Conflict Management Trainers and Physical Training Instructor qualifications.


Entry Requirements

Proof of identification (passport or drivers licence) is a requirement along with proof of address. Qualifications or experience in your skill is needed to partake in this combined course.


Assessment and Certification

You will be assessed on three multiple choice examinations and one practical assessment in which you will undergo a physical intervention. Upon completion of the whole course you will be awarded certificates that are nationally recognised as part of your SIA License giving you the opportunity to teach SIA training courses.

 PTLLS Training:

On our PTLLS course you will learn about the teacher’s role and responsibilities. This includes how to plan a lesson, encourage and involve all students to motivate their studies and learning, how to assess your learners progression using different methods and the significance of record keeping this progress You will be playing a vital role to your students so the right abilities for this is important. After course completion you will be issued with a nation PTLLS 6302 award which allows you to teach over 16’s in a workplace or college.


2886 Conflict Management Training:

This course is perfect for those who desire to train their security personnel such as Door Supervisors and ‘front of house’ staff’. You will teach conflict management to adults in a workplace or college according to the requirements of the SIA. This course will teach you how to train others in security roles of conflict managements with confidence when delivering your classes. You will have the knowledge and confidence to plan and deliver lessons, design conflict management scenarios, apply conflict management knowledge to practical settings, teach others how to assess and reduce the risk of violence and be a vital member of your training team.
