SIA Licence Close Protection Training


Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who desires employment as a Close Protection Security Operative, or better known as a ‘bodyguard’.


Entry Requirements

Proof of identification (passport or drivers licence) is a requirement along with proof of address. A First Aid at Work qualification is needed to approve the Close Protection Course.


Assessment and Certification

You will be assessed on one multiple choice examination. Upon completion of the course you will be awarded a certificate that is nationally recognised as part of your SIA License.

More about this course
The training course demonstrates the knowledge and skills which are a necessity for a Close Protection Operative, such as being able to observe and assess a risk and then decide how to avoid it. As a personal security service ensuring the client’s personal safety is the main duty and all operations have to treated with the utmost confidentiality and care at all times. A bodyguard must be able to deal with threatening situations correctly and calmly which involves many different factors which are taught on the course. This course is more challenging than others simply because it is of a high-risker which means maximum quality training must be undertaken to ensure precise and professional personnel.
